Truck Show 2012

Truck show 2012 is now in the planning stages.  Dates for the show will be June 8^th, 9^th and 10^th, 2012.

June 8th, 2012 Friday Evening:  3:00 p.m. to 8:p.m. Friday Night, buffet & Tailgate Party, and music. The party will be held at the Newport News Holiday Inn & Suite.  June 9th, 2012 Saturday Morning:  9:30 a.m. 10:00 a.m. Check-in and late registry.

11:00 a.m. End of truck registration, Judging begins. 
3:00 p.m. Group photo, final announcements, show ends.

6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  A Saturday night social and awards presentation will be held at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites, in Newport News, VA. Snacks and beverages will be available. 

7:30 p.m.  Cruise to the James River, Sun set over the water.

June 10th, 2012 Sunday Morning: 8:30 a.m. -Truckers will meet at the Holiday Inn & before heading home.

Truck Show 2011

June 10, 2011 - On a beautiful Friday afternoon, Li’l Red Express and Warlock Truck owners arrived at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Newport News, Virginia, , for the 16th Annual Li’l Red Express and Warlock Owners Club Truck Show and reunion weekend. The weekend was off to a great start as club members and guest met at the Hospitality tent located adjacent to the Holiday Inn & Suites hotel listening to music and enjoying great food.  The party provided an excellent opportunity for club members to mingle and meet other members who were there for the first time.   We received a lot of thanks and compliments from members saying our show team did a great job under the circumstances (the two inches of rain that fell in one hour on Friday night) and Patti also gets a big thanks for standing in the wind sweep rain making sure the buffet stayed dry.

On Saturday, June 11^th, we had beautiful weather for the show, there were 29 trucks entered in this year’s show, and a total of thirty two in the judging field.  Two trucks were judged in the NALRETO Concourse Class.  The show ended at 3:30 PM. following the awards presentation.  Skip Gibbs and Jesse Lane headed up the event this year as show coordinators; John Roberts organized the NALRETO Concourse Class.

NALRETO.ORG

N.A.L.R.E.T.O. (The National Association Of Li'l Red Express Truck Owners) was developed in cooperation with the Hampton Roads Li'l Red Express & Warlock Owners Club and is sanction under its bylaws.    N.A.L.R.E.T.O. was created for the purpose of providing a qualified sanctioning body for the development of a standards of quality and to verify authenticity of the Li'l Red Express Truck.   A subset of this capacity is now set in place to provide certification of re-manufactured restoration parts.   A concours level handbook has also been created to assist owners and manufacturers in assuring complete accuracy in the restoring of the Li'l Red Express Truck and the creation of restoration parts.  The guidelines in this book will help the restorer when restoring their truck to a factory like condition.   It will also assist the manufacturers in improving the quality of restoration parts and the services they provide for the Li'l Red Express Truck Owner.
